ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY (EP).

Master Shanghai Forging is committed to running its business in a responsible, environmentally sound and sustainable manner. We recognize that our supply chain, processes and products have both direct and indirect environmental impacts. We seek to identify these and to find effective ways of eliminating or reducing them. Our aim is to achieve continuous improvement in our environmental performance. Throughout our operations we will adhere to the compliance with the requirement under the Environmental Quality Act, 1974. Our environmental objectives have been chosen, and are regularly reviewed, to ensure that our actions effectively complies to our environmental policy; they are:-

• To take significant environmental aspects and impacts into account throughout our operations, maintaining a functioning environmental management system.
• To ensure that environmental issues are properly assessed and considered when key decisions are taken about supply chains, processes and new product development.
• To establish and measure the significant environmental impacts of our operations, set targets for performance improvements and monitor progress against those targets in areas including but not limited to energy, greenhouse gas emissions, water usage / quality and waste.
• To use energy and natural resources wisely and efficiently, eliminate and minimize waste, and re-use and recycle where practical.
• To ensure that employees have a level of knowledge and understanding appropriate to their environmental responsibilities and are aware of actions they can take to reduce their impacts.
• To produce knowledgeable and skilled human capital for the safe and proper management of scheduled wastes in industrial premises.
• Commitment towards complete competency certification and competent person in proper management of scheduled wastes are mandated in Environmental Quality Act, 1974.
• Commitment towards mainstream environmental agenda and cultivate self regulation culture which would result in continuous regulatory compliance.

ENVIRONMENTAL TRANSPARENCY (ET).

MSFSB is a manufacturing based company producing metal parts and metal valves for commercial and household appliances. MSFSB compliance to environment, there are no smoke and industrial effluent waste generated from the manufacturing activity which could lead to air, water and earth pollution. Overall particulate matter, gaseous and metal concentration of air emission are respectively within the limits of the Environmental Quality (Clean Air) Regulation, 1978 under Standard C limits. Noise generated from MSFSB activity is within the boundary limit of Permissible Level, 90 dB and does not have impact to the surrounding neighbors. Small quantity of scheduled waste generated from production activities. The scheduled waste registered by MSFSB are as follows:-

The scheduled waste are handled and disposed accordingly. For Environment Competency; to ensure that person is competent, our CePSWaM participated in training course and are commencing practical on job training (field work) to be certified as a competent person/professional. As per legal requirement the contractor for schedule waste disposal was appointed from the Department of Environment contractor approved list.


Part of managing the recycle waste:
All A4 paper usage to be used on both sides and shall be disposed as a recycle waste category. Metal scrap from the assembly components shall be sent for scrap to contractors. This is part of metal recycle waste Water discharged to municipal drain only contained the normal water usage. It does not contain any industrial effluent. As to control the discharge, control especially from canteen activities, oil trap was installed at the canteen piping discharge system. In conclusion, activities carried out at MSFSB are free from air, water and earth pollution. All domestic waste and scheduled waste generated are handled and disposed accordingly.
